Data entry employment is one of the most looked for and debated field of activity run online at the moment. Such work offers appear because of the continuous expansion of companies that need as many people as possible to handle their huge amount of information. We cannot talk of relevant efficient information without data entry and data processing. It is thus more than obvious why the name of Information Age best describes our times. Well, by data entry employment, computers receive information, machines get operational and lots of tasks are performed from the clerical point of view.
People who are qualified for data entry employment include data entry keyers, typists, electronic data processors, transcribers, word processors, keypunch technicians and so on. What exactly do these people do? Well, from reports and label mailing to handling any form of text, data processors do all the work. Moreover, the preparation of computer standard forms and the addressing of envelops represent other attributes of the job. The degree of accuracy required from an employee differs depending on the amount of experience one has in the field. This would explain why highly complex technical material will only be processed by senior employees with lots of background knowledge.
Action follows a similar course of development when it comes to very complex statistical data and the rearrangement of materials from different sources. This is the explanation why data entry employment is subject to tests prior to hiring. Even when one is hired to do the data entry work at home, the need for a computer and some skills remains valid. The PC allows one to revise, edit and store reports, forms, statistical tables and memos and all sorts of other materials that can be sent via mail, email, fax or simply printed. On some very special occasions data entry employment involves entire teams meant to perform the transcriptions for certain special company departments.
Data entry employment is applicable to various work environments depending on the form of activity the company has available. The majority of the positions are those of regular office jobs, but data entry work at home has increased in preponderance over the last decade. Some workers evenget their PCs linked to the company’s main office through special communication lines. The work environment is thus more relaxed and stress free, allowing for better task performance than in a regular office.

online data entry
Written by MichaelZ on May 31, 2009 – 8:40 pm -
There are fewer data entry employment opportunities than many Internet users are led to believe. The advantages of working with a real data entry company are manifold: besides the flexibility of the schedule, you’ll also have good wages and employee benefits packages. Because of the very high demand for such positions, a good home data entry job could pose challenges to land. Take into consideration the following suggestions in order to increase your chances of building an independent and financially rewarding career.
Go local! Lots of data entry businesses are interested in hiring people from a limited geographical area because of the risks of entrusting complete strangers with important information or corporate data. Moreover, by looking for data entry employment locally, chances of scams are significantly reduced. Keep in mind that the so-called data entry companies that advertise for international employment are scams most of the time. Typists will usually get hired locally, and a business will not pay a fortune in wages, not to mention that the effort to find people suitable for the positions is minimum.
Make a resume that would be easily acceptable at one of the local data entry companies. This allows you to indicate your job experience and the companies you’ve worked with. Moreover, the references can be a lot more easily checked when the application is filed for a local company instead of an international one. An aspect you may not be familiar with is that many data entry companies do not advertise, and people who are interested in a work-at-home position need to contact the data entry companies directly and make an inquiry in their job availability.
Data entry companies can also be checked more easily if they are local. There is all the legitimacy in the world in the research one makes before applying for a position in a company. If you have the company’s address you can go there in person. In case the web site of the company does not indicate any address, you should definitely be wary and investigate the matter a bit closer. Or you can simply move on to finding other data entry companies and just cross out the doubtful one from your research efforts. Calling and asking questions about the company’s history, what the job requires and so on makes a very good idea.

The Great Search: Views on Internet Marketing
Written by MichaelZ on May 30, 2009 – 10:09 am -Try tapping the keyword ‘ fish tanks ‘ and Google gives you the most relevant sites in a flash. If you own a website, naturally you want your site to be included in the top half of page one. There is a very good reason for this because almost half of people who use Google would most likely click on the top left hand corner. If you have used Google Heat Map the colours of the heat map show where a user looks on the page. The red/orange/yellow areas are where a user looks the most and the dark blue areas are where a user looks least. As the maps shows - it is the top ten natural search results which get the most attention, so even if your site has great website design but is not in the top ten of the natural search results, then too bad.
A purple cross marks where a user makes a click and again, the top natural positions get the most attention from the users and the highest number of clicks. The map confirms that you have to be visible in the natural results in order to benefit from the greatest volume of visitors.
You’ll be pleased to know that is what our long term strategy is all about
But just for a moment let’s pretend we have a web-site and we want some quick web traffic. One of our main options open is to buy that traffic, probably for so much per click. Where would I go to? Probably Google AdWords, the largest seller of advertising space in the market. So each time you make a search on Google, if you check the right hand corner in the search results, those are their ads. However, don’t bother about them that much as we will talk about them in later modules. For now, I’m just trying to explain how all this works. So, let’s say I go along to Google AdWords and want to purchase some visitors who are searching for ‘fish tanks’..
I would create an ad for ‘fish tanks’ decide how much I want to bid for the keyword and just within a few hours my ad would be appearing in the right hand column.. But this is also where Google AdSense comes in, because AdSense allows other sites, your sites, to display those Google Ads and receive a slice of the cake. In truth, Google, the king of search engines, keeps the biggest slice of the cake which is about 70%, but enough 30 per cents can quickly add up, especially if we’re not having to do any work for it. Remember, some keywords can pay upwards of $5 PER click (we’ll show you how to find those in a later module). To be honest, I don’t think the big money of old is still there to be made with Google AdSense.
One of the major reasons is that Google now gives advertisers the opportunity to pay a different rate for ads on their search network, as against the ads they show on your sites. Invariably, advertisers choose to pay a lot lower rate and as a consequence, you as the publisher, get the same cut from a much smaller pie. Having said all this, AdSense is a ‘must have’ in every Internet Marketer’s kitbag and I certainly make it a core part of any Internet Marketing strategy, either as a user or a publisher, there are some big numbers to be made, as long as you know what you are doing.
